Queens of the Hardwood started with a simple questsion asked by the Montgomerys' daughter.
"Dad, you do all this stuff for boys basketball. Why not for girls?"
Fredrick didn't have an immediate answer to her question. There were a variety of tournaments and even a Seattle vs Tacoma All-Star game for boys, but nothing like that for girls. The idea of creating the first all-star girls basketball game in Seattle began to grow in Wyjuana and Fredrick's hearts and Queens of the Hardwood was born..
